I am limited to a approximately 9″ x 5″ card that will be inserted into clear plastic envelope that will hang on a rack in retail stores. It has to be something bold and eye catching, while remaining with the simplicity of the TurtleSkin brand. I have been doing some research on the packaging of competitive glove companies in order to see what we are up against.

This will be good practice as we are coming out with an entirely new glove line in the fall and I will be looking to create some new and different packaging at that time.

Pictures will follow when the project is close to completion.

I just got the Kin Two. It is a really fun phone, which automatically connects to FaceBook and backs everything up on the Kin Studio website. I like the interface it’s really easy to use. I was kind of cautious about getting a touch screen. Everybody I talk to (except iPhone users) say they dislike touch screens, they aren’t easy to use. But the Kin seems to be pretty intuitive and the touch screen is not as sensitive as I expected it to be, which is a good thing.

The camera is great, 8 mega pixels, flash and zoom although it is not an alternative to an actual digital camera, which I was kind of hoping it would be. The music player seems like something I can get into, the phone has more memory than my iPod Nano and 5 year old Nikon CoolPix combined.

I also loved the packaging it came in. It seems Microsoft put a lot of time and money coming up with a good design for the package. It didn’t come with a manual it just came with a little booklet with lots of pictures and not very much explanation of how to use the phone, it took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how to turn it on, but after that everything seemed really easy. Who really reads a manual anyways, that’s what the internet is for.
